Rev. Charles Anthony McCall was born in the city of San Francisco, California to his parents Samuel and Marva McCall. He has one sister Karen McCall. Rev. McCall has lived in Las Vegas, Nevada since 1972. He graduated in 1983 from Western High School and graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1989 with a Bachelor Degree in Special Education. In 1997 he obtained a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the same university.
On December 11, 2009, Rev. McCall completed his Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Currently he is working on his Doctorate of Educational Degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Christian Ministry from Grand Canyon University, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Rev. McCall accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of 11 at a Vacation Bible School meeting at the Red Rock Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. He received the call to the gospel ministry at the age of 17, and began preaching at the age of 19. Rev McCall was licensed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ on October 5, 1985, and was ordained in the gospel ministry on January 12, 1992.
For the previous 27 years, Rev. McCall has served as a Sunday School Teacher for high school students, Evangelism Instructor/Counselor, Youth Pastor, and Mid-Week Bible Study Instructor for Young Adults under the leadership of the late Pastor Willie Davis, and current Pastor Donald Chaney of the Second Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also has served as an associate minister at Calvary Southern Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lawrence Haley; and as an associate minister at Good Samaritan Worship and Training Center under the former Pastor Pal Lee Childress, and current Pastor Dora Howard.
On March 19, 2017 he was called to become the Pastor-Elect of Gethsemani Missionary Baptist Church; founded by his mentor the late Pastor Willie Davis. One of the joys that Rev. McCall cherishes is to see boys and girls; and men and women to come into the saving knowledge of the Word and to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, and to witness their growth in His Faith. Rev. McCall is married to Regina Calhoun-McCall, and they have one daughter, Leilani, who currently attends Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia.
